Take Your Poet to Work and Win!

Poet-Header

Today’s the day! It’s Take Your Poet To Work Day and I am giving poetry lovers everywhere a chance to win a $25 gift card to my Etsy shop, C. S. Literary Jewelry  just by spending the day with their favorite poet(s). Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Visit Tweetspeak Poety’s website and select your poet(s)!

Step 2: Color your poet(s), cut them out, and attach them to a Popsicle stick

Step 3: Take your poet(s) with you as you go about your day.

Step 4: Share photos and posts on Facebook and Twitter about the adventures that you and your poet(s) are having. Don’t forget to use the hashtag, #poettowork and if you can, tag @tspoetry and @csljewelry.

(And be sure to check out all the great #poettowork posts your fellow poetry lovers are sharing!)

Step 5: Come back here to the C. S. Literary Jewelry blog and share your posts and tweets with us. See below for more details on how to enter.

    • I’m from NY so when I have breakfast with T. S. Eliot, we have a toast(ed bagels) and tea. We might dare to have a peach later (or not).

  1. I posted on Facebook some of the things Keats and I have been doing sadly wasn’t able to print out the images to have him on a Popsicle stick so I’m using my book of his letters to Fanny.

  3. T.S. Eliot and I had a wonderful day!

He made sure we made to work safely by insisting we both wear our seatbelts before driving. https://twitter.com/locks123/status/621344147228590080/photo/1

He was great company throughout the day and enjoyed meeting my office mates. But my favorite part of the day was when T.S. helped me file his poems. https://twitter.com/locks123/status/621387514150981633/photo/1

However, since he’s not an “office” kind of guy, he was happiest when we were finally going home.

I’m so glad I saw your email this morning telling me about Take Your Poet to Work Day! It was such a great activity and I loved talking about poets/poems/poetry all day long!

    • Thanks Noa! Sharing poets on Popsicle sticks is almost as awesome as sharing a Popsicle with a poet. (Ok. Now I am having a craving for those Popsicles that I used to eat when I was kid – the kind that had two sticks so you could break them in half and share them. Anyone else remember those?)
