Where to buy C. S. Literary Jewelry

You can purchase our handmade literary jewelry at our Etsy shop. We also participate in occasional craft fairs and events, like the Long Island Women’s EXPO in October.  (Subscribe to our mailing list to get news and announcements about upcoming events).

At this time, our jewelry is only available online but we are looking to branch out into “brick and mortar” venues like bookshops, coffee houses / tea rooms, boutiques and gift shops. Contact us to discuss wholesale and reseller discounts.

Custom Orders

If you would like one of our designs made with text from your favorite book, poem, play, Bible verse, quote, etc., please feel free to contact us. We happily accept custom orders. Once all the details have been worked out, we will post a custom listing on our Etsy shop for you to review and purchase your item. To help cover our costs, we ask that all custom orders are paid for in advance.

Unless otherwise stated, coupon codes cannot be applied to custom orders.

We do not accept returns on custom designs.

You will need to sign up for a free Etsy account to make a purchase from our shop.

Payment Options

We accept PayPal and most major credit cards (Visa, Amex, Mastercard, and Discover) through Etsy’s secure direct payment system.

We also accept Etsy gift cards and offer gift cards to our shop as well.

Gift Card Information and Instructions

We are pleased to offer gift cards to our shop for those occasions when you need a gift right away or are unsure of what to get. You can purchase a C. S. Literary Jewelry Gift Card here.

After you complete your purchase, we will send a digital gift card to the email address attached to your Etsy account. (Please note: no physical item will be sent). Your digital gift card will be sent within 24 hours of purchase. If you do not receive your gift card within that time frame, please check your spam folder and then contact us for assistance.

Sales Tax

We are required by law to collect sales tax from customer who live in NY State. For the most part, Etsy’s system will determine the correct sales tax rate based on your zip code. Please be aware, however, that there are several zip codes in NYS that have multiple tax rates and the system may have trouble determining the correct amount of tax to charge for those locations. In the unlikely event that this issue impacts your order, we will contact you directly and work to make sure the correct amount of tax has been collected.

Processing Time

Because our jewelry is all made to order, please allow time for us to make your jewelry and process it for shipping. Our typical turnaround time is 3-5 business days.

For orders with upgraded / rush shipping, our processing time is 1-3 business days, depending on if the item is available to ship right away or if we have to make it.

Shipping

We typically ship our U. S. orders via USPS First Class Mail. USPS does not guarantee delivery dates with this service but estimates that it will arrive within 3-5 business days. You will receive a notice from Etsy with the tracking number when your order has shipped.

Shipping insurance is not included but can be added if you like. Contact us for more information.

Upgraded U. S. Shipping

If you need your order right away, you can chose to upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority Mail Express. This service includes shipping insurance up to $100 and is guaranteed to arrive 1 business day after shipping. (Please note: this does not include the processing time necessary to make your items.)

You will receive a notice from Etsy with the tracking number when your order has shipped.

International Shipping

We ship our international orders via USPS Priority Mail International. USPS does not guarantee delivery times for Priority Mail International but estimates that packages sent this way should arrive within 6 – 10 business days.

Insurance is not included but can be added if desired. Contact us for more information.

You will receive a notice from Etsy with the tracking number when your items ship.

Upgraded International Shipping

We can also upgrade our international shipments to Priority Mail Express International. This service includes shipping insurance up to $200 and has a guaranteed delivery time of 3-5 business days to select countries, including: Australia, China and Hong Kong, France (excluding Corsica and Monaco), Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Spain (not including the Canary Islands).

International Custom and Duty Fees

Customers outside the of the U.S. should be aware that they may be charged additional customs and duty fees before they can receive their order. These fees are charged by their government and are beyond our control. Unfortunately, because the laws vary from country to country, we have no way of anticipating when a fee will be charged or how much it will be.

As a result, these fees are not included in the shipping costs that you pay to C. S. Literary Jewelry and are your responsibility to pay.

Lost Shipments

If your package has not arrived within the expected timeframe (which includes both processing time and the shipping time), please use the tracking number provided to check its progress and then contact us for assistance. We will do our best to help resolve the situation and get your order to you.

Please note that, unless you upgraded your shipping, all shipping timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed, so delays at high traffic times (like the holidays or Valentine’s Day) can and do occur.

For our international customers, the most common reasons for packages to be delayed are that they are being processed by customs or are waiting for you to pay a custom / duty fee before they can be released for delivery. You should be prepared to contract your country’s customs department to help discover if this is the case before we determine that a package has been lost.

Damaged Shipments

We do our best to pack our jewelry for shipping so that it arrives safely. However, if your item has been damaged during shipping, please contact us and let us know so we can help fix the situation.

To help us determine the best course of action, we may ask that you provide photos of the damage.

Returns

Because our items are personalized and made to order, we do not typically accept returns unless the item has been damaged or a mistake was made in making up your order.

Having said that, it is important to us that our customers have the very best experience with our company as possible and if you have any problems or concerns with your order, we ask that you contact us right away so we can address the problem.

Please be aware that each item we sell is made by hand, and as a result, there will be slight quirks and variations from piece to piece. This is not a defect but part of the charm and individuality of handmade jewelry.

Also, although we make every effort to make our photos true to life, some shift in color may occur as a result of variations among computer monitors and their settings.
