The CSLJ Book Club’s read of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre officially begins today! I know quite a few of us got a head start on reading the book while snowed in during the past few days but if you haven’t already started the book, you should do so now. Even though we have just begun reading, I thought it might be nice to start our discussion by introducing ourselves.

I’ll start. For those of you who don’t know me already, my name is Kerry and I am the owner / jewelry designer for C. S. Literary Jewelry. I started this book club because I love to share and talk about my favorite books with other book lovers and I am super excited to be reading and chatting about Jane Eyre with all of you. I’ve read Jane Eyre a lot. It’s one of my favorite books and one that I tend to read and re-read fairly often, especially as I always seem to find something new to admire about the book each time I read it. I can’t wait to see what I discover this time around and to hear what all of you guys have to say.

If you would like to introduce yourself, you can do so here in the comments to this post or here on the CSLJ Facebook page.

I should also mention that there is still time to join in all the fun. Click here for more information about the CSLJ Book Club and our Jane Eyre Read – Along

  1. Hi! My name’s Pam and I’m addicted to reading! I’ve been 12 hours without reading but I know that that won’t last because as soon as I get done with this comment – I’ll be reading the ending of a crime drama surrounding London’s Jack the Ripper.

And I really don’t play favorites in my genres. I’m all over the book store and library.

I’m really excited to be participating in Kerry’s latest book club read!

    • Hi Pam! I am really impressed (and kind of shocked) you made it through 12 whole hours without reading – I am not sure I could do it without going through some sort of withdrawal symptoms! – but I am glad that you have book waiting for you at home. Enjoy!

  2. Hi! I am Kim and I looove to read! I am so excited to read Jane Eyre. My favorite classic is Wuthering Heights. I always have more than one book I am reading. The funny thing is I called my mom yesterday. She is reading Jane Eyre too. She was recently diagnosed with dementia so I am glad she picked this book up. Being an English teacher for 35 years, it’s apparent who I got my love of reading!!.
