In the spirit of the holiday, I am giving away one of my NEW Christmas Carol Rings. Just like Tiny Tim from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, this dainty silver ring packs a lot of Christmas cheer into a tiny package and is sure to become a treasured part of your Christmas celebrations for years to come! (Find out more about this ring here!)
It’s time for the C. S. Literary Jewelry Winter Giveaway! One lucky winner will spend Christmas in Narnia with this gorgeous Narnia ornament from the Papuan Lass Etsy shop. Inspired by The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe from C. S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia books, this handmade Christmas ornament is a beautiful way to add a touch of bookish charm to your Christmas decor.
If you love Jane Austen novels as much as I do, you have probably noticed how often the characters in them spend a relaxed and cozy evening at home, playing card games and socializing. And while card games like Whist may have gone out of style, fortunately there is a card game that allows you and your fellow Austenites to experience the joys and drama of a Jane Austen – style card party. In Marrying Mr. Darcy, the Pride and Prejudice card game by Erika Svanoe, the players play one of the ladies of Pride and Prejudice and vie for the affections of and a proposal from a gentleman in possession of a good fortune, including the swoon-worthy Mr. Darcy. There is even an Undead Expansion for those who prefer their Regency romances with more zombies and gore. (Get an idea of game play here.)
My husband and I picked up a copy of Marrying Mr. Darcy back when it was first released and it very quickly became one of our favorite games. Even our friends and family who haven’t read Pride and Prejudice enjoy playing the game with us and it usually only takes one “Scandal Card” for most of the players to really get into the spirit of things. And now Erika is releasing an expansion to the game inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma and I cannot wait to get my copy!!
I am thrilled to announce that I will be teaming up with Erika Svanoe, creator of the Marrying Mr. Darcy – Pride and Prejudice Card Game, for a very special Jane Austen Giveaway. In honor of the recent 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s Emma and the upcoming release of the Emma Expansion to the Marrying Mr. Darcy Game, Erika and I will each host a giveaway and two lucky Jane Austen fans will receive a copy of the Marrying Mr. Darcy Game, the Emma Expansion, and one of my handmade Emma Bangle Bracelets.
